A fallen Deputy from 1926 was discovered by a distant family member. The only law enforcement officer to be killed in the line of duty in Shenandoah County is to be honored at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC this May. To read more..  Concealed Weapon Permit: Training Classes will be hosted by the Sheriff's Office to provide instruction on the safety of firearms and laws related to carry concealed permit users. This class is for basic safety only. The class is free and registration is through our partners at Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation. You can find dates and locations this fall here..
