What you should know about animal control
Deputies:
They are uniformed and sworn staff.
They respond to animal calls but can assist other officers on calls. They can issue summons and serve papers.
They are able to respond in the off hours for serious animal complaint problems but are not staffed 24hrs.
If I can not keep my dog anymore what can I do?
You can surrender your dog at no cost to the animal shelter. the shelter will then put your dog up for adoption.
