In Shenandoah County D.A.R.E. is present in all three public elementary schools. Its the responsibility of the Schools Resource Officer to instruct this program. Not only does this increase the interaction but allows students to really get to know the officer that is at the school all day. As a result community policing is exemplified by this interaction.
