County Crime Prevention Programs

The
Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office is proud to offer the Lifesaver
Program. Lifesaver is a rapid response program to track victims of Alzheimer's,
dementia, Autism, and Down Syndrome. A transmitter is fixed to a patient
and checked monthly by certified specialists to change batteries and bands.
In the event a person would wonder from the caregiver, the Sheriff's
Office
is called immediately and responding units use a tracking device to locate
direction of travel and can lead searchers to the exact location of the transmitter.
