Multi-Jurisdictional Theft and Drug Distribution Charges

General Description of Incident:
The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office announces the
arrest of Randy J. Newcomer and Tonya Annette Barnes both of High View, WV on
charges related to the sell, distribution, and possession of a controlled
substance, Oxycotin.
Newcomer and Barnes were arrested on June 13, 2008 in Frederick County, VA
by Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office Investigators assigned to the Northwest
Virginia Regional Drug Task Force (NVRDTF) after investigating information
received from the Strasburg Police Department.
A subsequent search warrant was executed in connection with the above
arrests at the residence of Thomas L. Orndorff III in
Capon Bridge
,
WV
. Over 200 items were seized which included numerous controlled substances and
cash along with several items that are believed to have been stolen from
Shenandoah,
Warren
, and
Frederick
Counties
.
Orndorff was not home at the time of the search and is
wanted by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office on several charges.
Additional charges are pending from both VA and WV authorities.
